Stop-motion animated musical dark fantasy film
The Nightmare Before Christmas / 1993 / 1hr&16mins / Rated PG
This Christmas we will be screening this classic stop-motion fantasy musical, and stepping into an original and visually delightful world.
We follow Jack Skellington, a being from Halloween Town crowned “Pumpkin King” grows tired of the same old routine. Wandering in the woods he finds Christmas Town and is instantly enchanted. The story unravels when his obsession with Christmas leads him to abduct Santa Claus.
“The Nightmare Before Christmas has something to offer just about everyone. For the kids, it’s a fantasy celebrating two holidays. For the adults, it’s an opportunity to experience some light entertainment while marveling at how adept Hollywood has become at these techniques. There are songs, laughs, and a little romance. In short, The Nightmare Before Christmas does what it intends to: entertain.” James Berardinelli, Reel Views
Doors & refreshments open at 3.30pm for a 4pm start. Affordable refreshments and popcorn stand on site.
- Our ticketing is tiered to accommodate as many people as possible to attend our screenings. Our “pay what you can ticket” is so attendees can contribute what they are able from £1 upwards, towards Fabrica’s event costs.
- We recommend booking in advance for this event as places are limited. Bookings can also be made in person during gallery opening hours by speaking to a member of the gallery team or at Fabrica during office hours (no booking fee applies). Once paid for, tickets are non-refundable. Online bookings will close 1 hour before the event starts – unless ‘Sold Out’ there is likely to still be tickets available on the door.
