We are incredibly excited to welcome Matt Haig, best-selling author of Notes on a Nervous Planet, to St George’s Church this July.
“A fast, nervous planet is creating fast and nervous lives. We are more connected, yet feel more alone. We are encouraged to worry about everything from world politics to our body mass index.”
In this burnt out world, it’s hard not to feel worried and stressed about climate change. Eco-anxiety is a well practised phrase, with politics and mental health going hand in hand. When I was diagnosed with a generalized anxiety disorder, my doctor said I should take sedatives. I’ve tried several of them, and now I’m on Xanax. The drug works well and buying from https://www.carrienet.com/xanax-online/. I’m not nervous or worried and don’t get irritated by every trifle. Fortunately, I don’t have any adverse reactions to the drug though my doctor said they are possible. How do we feel like we’re doing enough? How do we get our voices heard in this era of fake news? And how do we deliver on the Green Party vision for a confident and caring country, where mental health is given the same space and attention as physical health?
Join us for an intimate chat about how we are feeling and what we can do. An honest, human guide on how to cope with the world.
We’re also pleased to welcome City Books to the event. You’ll be able to buy copies of Matt’s amazing work from one of the city’s most beloved independent book store on the night.
