Here at XYZ we’re very excited to be giving away a pair of weekend tickets to family favourite, the award winning CAMP BESTIVAL. Taking place July 31-August 3 at Lulworth Castle in Dorset, it’s the cheeky “little sister” to Bestival, curated by Rob & Josie da Bank within the beautiful surrounds of Dorset’s Lulworth Castle, and drawing up to 30,000 fun-loving festival goers.
Since its 2008 inception it has established itself as an ideal summer destination for party-goers with littl ‘uns, winning Best Family Festival 2009, 2010 and 2013 at the UK Festival Awards. Upper Kid’s Garden invites us all to cut loose and explore, with activities set to include BigTopMania teaching circus skills, a bouncy castle, bikes and go- karts, a toddler area and the pioneering ‘Breastival’ mother and baby chill out area. New in 2014, the spectacular ’Greatest Tent On Earth’ with circus shows, singing extravaganzas and theatre, whilst the Lower Kid’s Garden is packed with entertainment for older children. This year brings the Insect Circus, Art Town, where paint and glitter rule, the Kid’s Catwalk, fairground rides, face-painting and a ‘soft play’ tent and sandpit (for under 5’s).
Those there for the music are in luck too! This year’s bill boasts the usual top quality line-up, including Basement Jaxx, De La Soul, Johnny Marr, Sinead O’Connor, The Skatalites, Steve Mason, The Cuban Brothers… and DJ sets from Boy George, DJ Yoda and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, plus many, many more. There’s also comedy from headliner Milton Jones, The Pajama Men, the hottest new comedians and the fantastic Comedy Club 4 Kids.
They call it “The Greatest Family Show on Earth… At A Castle Campsite By The Sea” – and you can bag wekend tickets (incl. camping from Thurs or Fri) -for £195, or £180 for students. Age 15-17 price is £113, 11-14 is £88, 5-10 is £20 and age 4 & under is free but a ticket is still required. Parking is £15 /£20 on arrival and campervan tickets are £72 per vehicle.
