Brighton based chamber-pop-folk types The Miserable Rich are to tour the UK on the completion of their new album, “Of Flight & Fury”, released last week. The tour features seven dates throughout June and includes a Brighton date that incidentally closes the tour.
The album follows on from 2008’s “Twelve Ways To Count”, and is self-produced by and mixed by Al Scott, who has previously been at the controls for Asian Dub Foundation and Eliza Carthy. It was recorded at various band members’ houses in Brighton over the course of a few months in 2009 – the recording intermittently interrupted by disgruntled neighbours, band members’ night-shifts and floods.
