It’s the live comedy panel show that sets top stand-up comedians to play off against each other for your very own amusement! Hosted by Mark Allen and aided by his very “glamorous” assistant Eli Silverman, contestants on the show are put through their paces to see if they have what it takes to be considered a true Universal Genius!
Contestants will be tested on subjects such as art, science, poetry, etiquette, wit, music, literature, languages, actual knowledge and hunting. (That’s right – hunting).
This month at Komedia check out a special grudge match as two of Brighton own battle it out for the coveted Universal Genius mortarboard. Chortle Award nominee Michael Fabbri goes up against star of BBC’s Never Mind the Buzzcocks Joey Page, in a rematch of a Humble Quest for Universal Genius contest that took place at Komedia two years ago. Fabbri took the title that time, so can Page yank the tite from his grasp?
