Formed in 2008, Proceed will release debut EP on May 31. The quintet are already considered as the next big thing thanks to their uplifting, anthemic and guitar-fueled songs and have been featured in Kerrang! and on BBC Radios. Their live performances are always something to remember!
Kovak (pictured) are Brighton based, and lead by the sassy Annelies Van De Velde. Their exuberant, sparkling and catchy pop has already fired Brighton’s party scene! Their live performances are not to miss as they’ll make you dance like a kid high on fizzy candy, swirling your glow sticks away till the early hours of the day.
ortoPilot – a.k.a Matt Hutchison – is one of the UK’s leading YouTube’ing singer/songwriters. After uploading acoustic covers of artists such as Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Michael Jackson, Oasis and many more, he has become a YouTube sensation reaching more than 19,000 subscribers (in perspective David Gray – 3000 subscribers). Matt has two original albums under his belt, a raft of acoustic covers available for sale on iTunes, his third self-penned album to be released this summer. 2010 looks to be the start of a very exciting decade for ortoPilot.
Sick City Club (previously known as The Skyline) are an indie rock band from Birmingham. They are set to release debut album Talking With Lies produced by Gavin Monaghan (Editors, The Smiths, Kings Of Leon). Their live performances are always full of energy filled with punchy riffs, fiery beats and insanely catchy tunes.
The Julian Tulk Band are based in the south of England where they have increased their popularity by delivering sensational, honest and powerful live performances. In 2008, they released their debut album No Strings – a toxic blend of blues, folk and alternative pop.
Lecarla have already been referred to as a ‘British Paramore’ thanks to their high-energy performances and catchy punk songs. They have performed alongside the likes of The Blackout, We Are The Ocean and Attack Attack. They released their first EP ‘Uncovered’ in April 2010 which received praise from rock fans all around the country.
Sandweaver’s songs range from tales of broken hearts, love, loss and laser lights. Their exciting, intergalactic and energetic live performances have already prove to be very popular in the South and there is no doubt their popularity will grow even bigger in the rest of the country.
