Named after the island but hailing from Oxford, Stornoway are a band of songsmiths, scholars, scientists and men of the earth. 2009 was a busy year for the quartet, which saw the release of their first official single – the critically acclaimed ‘Zorbing’ – and the release of follow up singleĀ ‘Unfaithful’, appearances at Glastonbury, the headline spot at the Radio 1 Big Weekend, their first UK tour AND (if that wasn’t enough!), a performance on Later… With Jools Holland alongside Jay Z and Foo Fighters.
Stornoway are playing at Brighton’s Komedia on February 10, as part of The Twisted Folk Tour, with support from Beth Jeans Houghton.
