Now, there’s nothing wrong with your average student night. The biggest nights in Brighton never fail to bring an abundance of colourful and flamboyant young people having such a wonderful time that they couldn’t care less what they’re listening to (as long as they can mouth along to the chorus with their eyes shut and the cheese to filth ratio is bang on). But if you, like some, have wished for a student night embodying some of Brighton’s better events without the price tag, then Audio has the answer.
GLUE is new to Mondays at Audio. Door tax is £2/3 – that is if you fail to write your names on the facebook page where you can elicit free entry – and the music is an appetising mixture of hip-hop, dancehall, garage, dubstep and everything that stands a refreshing step away from the de rigeur student singalongs. GLUE promises to be “The only antidote to characterless student nights.”
Starts 28 September: Doors 10pm to 3am.
