Liverpool’s Sound of Guns release new single “Architects” on June 21, available on 7” vinyl and digital download. The track precedes their forthcoming debut album “What Came From Fire” which is set for release on June 28.
Their anthemic power chords and riotous gang vocals is not the usual sound associated with Liverpool. Their debut EP “Elementary of Youth” was Zane Lowe’s “hottest record in the world” and with performances at Radio One’s Big Weekend, Latitude, Glastonbury, Sound City festival in Dubai and Liverpool’s Music Week in 2009, it’s no wonder they have been tipped for great things from Q, The Guardian, Rocksound and The Fly. Steve Lamacq also featured them as his favourite new band on his 6music show.
Sound of Guns have just completed a headline UK tour and return to Brighton for a couple of shows next week.
