Since this single was first released back in April ’09, Manchester group Delphic have been making big, big waves in the electronic music scene. The timing of this re-release couldn’t possibly have been better. The “nothing’s wrong” vocal cry and euphoric, pounding drum and synth rhythms, the infectious melody and grandiose digital loops surely have been tailor-made for summer festival big-tops up and down the land.
Rekindling the bygone ‘Madchester’ era, Delphic evoke the spirit of the likes of Happy Mondays and mash it up with the sort of modern-day dance music that has students filling clubs on Tuesday evenings with reckless abandon. Hedonistic, celebratory and memorable, this is dance music as it should be, plain and simple.
