The Shockwaves NME Awards 2010 took place last night crowning the heroes (and villians!) of the past year of music. The biggest winners were Kasabian and Muse with two awards each – Kasabian for Best Album and Best Album Artwork (pictured), and Muse won the coveted Best British Band award plus Best Website.
Brooklyn quartet The Drums won the Philip Hall Radar Award, Best New Band went to Bomboy Bicycle Club, Best Live Act was the Artic Monkeys – winning over legends Radiohead, Kasabian, Muse, and Them Crooked Vultures. Hero Of The Year went to Rage Against The Machine, Villian to Kanye West, and Best Dressed AND Worst Dressed went to Lady Gaga.
