Bat Country have been described as being ‘uniquely British,’ and they certainly have the lad-ish, melody driven, Arctic Monkey’s style about them. However, the mix of ska, folk and rock’n’roll used in their music gives them an undeniable edge. Armed with new material, heavy bass lines and four-part harmonies, Bat Country will be playing next to one of Brighton’s must-see bands The Badje, whose influences are as far ranging as 60s psychedelic pop to film scores and classical music. But of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without touring talent, singer/songwriter Lisa Marie Glover. This full-time songstress has been inspired by the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Nina Simone and Stevie Wonder and her beautiful voice and laid-back style is sure to make this evening at The Brunswick unforgettable.
Doors open @ 8pm, £5, concessions £4, all ages
