Whilst the details are still pretty sketchy, there’s a release date given for the upcoming tenth album from Primal Scream. The details are pretty sparse at the moment, but there’s a lot of fan speculation about the title – the top spot being taken by the theory that it’s a reference to the supposed last words of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the famed German writer and scientist.
Musically, it’s safe to expect some staple Scream sounds, but there’s likely to be a few twists as Gillespie plans for some modern psychedelia and orchestral guitar-driven rock. There are set to be some guest appearances from The Pop Group’s Mark Stewart, and Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin fame.
Perhaps the biggest change to the sound will come from ex-Yellowire member Simone Butler, who has signed on as the new Primal bassist after Mani left to rejoin The Stone Roses.
