Our Cornish Pasty have decided to devote a day at their Queens Road shop to raising money for the Haiti earthquake disaster fund.
We have all been incredibly moved by the plight of the people of Haiti following the earthquake that has destroyed their capital Port-au-Prince and the surrounding areas. The people of Haiti need help fast – the Red Cross has announced this to be the ‘biggest disaster they have ever had to deal with’. Aid is finally getting through to where it is needed.
So, on Tuesday 26 January all sales of their pasties, homemade soup, cakes and desserts, coffees, teas – in fact everything they sell – will generously be given to Oxfam’s Haiti Earthquake Response Fund.
