ABOUT OXJAM
Oxjam began in 2006, with the aim of creating a network of music-loving people across the UK, all united by a shared goal – to raise money to fight poverty and suffering around the world. 9 years on we’re still going strong with more than 45,000 musicians having played to audiences of more than 1.2 million people at over 4,500 Oxjam events, raising in excess of £2.3 million to fight poverty around the world.
This year Oxjam Brighton Takeover is set to be bigger than ever with Brighton being the perfect setting for such a creative event. On 18 October Oxjam Brighton will be taking over venues in Brighton and expect 50+ acts to be performing. Our aim for 2014 is to celebrate diversity with a mix of styles/genres of music across our fundraisers and the Takeover

For 2014 Oxjam Brighton Takeover is working in partnership with Brighton Unsigned, Mark Stack’s Zooberon and F=KX who will all be curating stages.
Acts currently confirmed for the Takeover include popular local band Departure From Normal who will be opening the main stage. Also confirmed for the main stage are Hartlepool’s finest The Jar Family who join Oxjam Brighton as part of their third annual Oxjam Tour. Confirmed for the Zooberon Stage are Lady Luck & the Late Night Players, Grand Parade and Jason Barker (ex Loose Lips). Confirmed for the Brighton Unsigned stage are Fitsroy, Dirt Royal, The Lanes and Gallivan (previously Dead Mans Hand).
Collaborations, including with BIMM, are about to be finalised, so watch out for updates on stages.
Oxjam Brighton Takeover has released tickets online at wegottickets.com which are now available at the early bird price of £9.00. These tickets will get you a wristband for all venues all day & night
