After a very successful tour of New Zealand and Australia, under the alias Casiotone For The Painfully Alone, Owen Ashworth will be in the UK for five-dates later this month. Ashworth began CFTPA in 1997, allegedly starting out small casio keyboard, and has since release five full-length album and numerous singles, EPs, split EPs and appeared on various compilations. CFTPA’s style draws influence from traditional Americana, 80s synth pop and commercial hip hip, and it’s characterized by the use of electronically produced beats, cheap keyboards, with slow, frank lyrics.
Catch Casiotone For The Painfully Alone on his Brighton leg of his UK tour on 22nd December at the Freebutt, as part of the OIB Records Christmas Party with support from Tubelord and Nullifier.
