Recently shooting to fame with the 2009 Barclaycard Mercury Prize nominated second album ‘Twice Born Men’, Sweet Billy Pilgrim bring their ethereal, haunting and atmospheric songs to Brighton as they tour the UK with previous nominees, left-field jazz scene darlings Portico Quartet.
Their first album ‘We Just Did What Happened And No One Came’, was recorded in the shed at the bottom of the garden with a selection of broken instruments including dustbin lids, a broken toy piano and a childs plastic guitar. Sweet Billy Pilgrim make gorgeous, memorable music using sounds you won’t hear anywhere else.
Sweet Billy Pilgrim will be supporting Portico Quartet at The Old Market on November 8th 2009.
