Award winning festival Lounge On The Farm can now confirm their Friday night headliner along with more amazing acts that will join Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Toots & The Maytals, DJ Yoda, Beardyman, Kitty Daisy & Lewis, Slow Club and Jakwob for their triumphant fifth birthday celebrations this July.
New York’s disco heavyweights Hercules And Love Affair will be headlining the stage in the Cow Shed on the Friday night. Having released one of the best albums of 2008, the band are currently putting the finishing touches to their second album, so expect a mix of classics and some box-fresh proto-acid house grooves.
Other acts joining the bill are Jah Wobble, self-confessed proponent of dysfunctional electro-pop; Example, UK ska legends Bad Manners, indie stars Frankie and the Heartstrings and neo-psychedelic post-punksters The Television Personalities. BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens will also be hosting the Sheep Dip on Sunday introducing a wealth of new talents, including quirky Brighton’s Pope Joan, Young Legionnaire and Club Royale.
