Kings Of Leon have won the Record Of The Year for ‘Use Somebody’ at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles last night. They beat off competition from Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift. Kings Of Leon also took home a Grammy for Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals.
Londoner Adele was nominated for Best Female Pop Performance for ‘Hometown Glory’, losing out to Beyonce’s ‘Halo’. Beyonce Knowles set a new record, becoming the most decorated female artist in Grammy history with six wins under her belt. Although Beyonce won six of the 10 categories for which she was nominated, country singer Taylor Swift who took home the coveted Album of the Year prize, becoming the youngest artist ever to receive the award at the age of 20.
