The rock’n’soul sextet Foxy Shazam are set to release their debut UK single, “Oh Lord” on September 27.
The single promises cheesy, feel good rock at its best and is both catchy and original. This band have an infectious quality which will leave you in the mood to really rock out – even if you’re too ashamed to admit it!
The video may also be the funniest video ever made and definitely worth a watch on their MySpace. It features the lead singer (a cross between a 118 118 man, a schoolboy and Freddy Mercury), female American football players, a cheeky little boy and the band that carry on performing as though none of this was going on around them. Brilliant.
Judging from their astonishingly positive Independent review this quality also extends to the stage. So there should be little doubt that after their upcoming appearances at Reading and Leeds, and supporting both Motion City Soundtrack and Lostprophets in London, this band will be our latest treasured American import.
