Despite being one of the more reserved members of the Wu Tang Clan (in comparison with Ol’ Dirty Bastard at least) GZA (aka the Genius) is arguably the MC’s MC. His fluid technique and lyrical dexterity are widely considered to be the best among the Clan.
The brains behind Wu Tang’s success was due to appear here in Brighton at Concorde 2 later this month, but unfortunately he has just announced that he has had to cancel this show.
He recently issued an official statement saying “Due to circumstances beyond our control and a very narrow window to finish my next album, Dark Matter, with a very rare collaborator. I regret to inform my fans that I must cancel these upcoming European dates. I will be back next Spring with brand new material and an album for the masses.”
Sorry folks, looks like we’ll have to wait just a while longer for this legend of hip hop to grace us with his presence.
