Art exhibition Synesthesia brings Japan to Brighton this January. Following Moshimo’s ‘Brighton Japan Festival’ hiatus in 2014, regular festival collaborator Studio AM sets up a poster project based exhibition, inviting the cream of our local artists to present their take on Brighton and Japan.
Speaking about the name choice of Synesthesia, Studio AM explains:
“Synesthesia is the phenomenon in which stimulation of one sense leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sense. Our long term vision is to involve creativity across all of the senses, working with sound, sculpture, food and drink across different themes, but always with a combination of two subjects. The idea being that ultimately we’ll end up with lots of crossovers and experimentation between artists and disciplines”
Each A2 poster will be on sale for £125 and all proceeds will go to The Fed, a local charity led by disabled people offering advice and support on how to live independently in Brighton and Hove.
