From June 9 to July 11 Brighton’s Crane Kalman Gallery will be exhibiting Hans van der Meer’s critically acclaimed collection of photographs, European Fields.
In 2005 the award winning photographer travelled through Europe, visiting various lower league football clubs in an attempt to capture to the essence of the beautiful game. Coinciding with the start of the start of the biggest celebration in world football the exhibition makes an interesting and humorous counterpoint to the opulence and excess of the World Cup.
