Montreal’s Plants & Animals are to embark on a UK tour next month with one special date in Brighton at Coalition. The indie-rock band formed in 2003 and after releasing various EPs, by 2006 the trio were working with Montreal label Secret City Records. Their debut album “Parc Avenue” was released in early 2008 and since then the band has played over 175 shows, sharing stages with the likes of The National, and even opening for Gnarls Barkley – after Danger Mouse discovered “Parc Avenue” and invited them out.
Plants & Animals released their latest offering, “La La Land” in April 2010.
Don’t miss them in Brighton next month, these guys are definitely ones-to-watch in 2010.
