Iconic front-man Carl Barat returns from a self-imposed musical hiatus with a new book, tour and album. Having indulged his thespian side, made a film and visited LA to play the premiere of Russell Brand’s new film, it’s already been a busy year for Barat. With his first solo shows already booked through October and November things show no signs of slowing down either. Written over the last 12 months, the album was recorded in London and is currently being mixed in New York.
If you can’t wait until his solo tour (with a date at Brighton’s Coalition!) you can catch Barat with old band-mates The Libertines at this summer’s Reading and Leeds festivals.
