Grow Claws headline the Prince Albert on 25 February, with their set of energetic art pop, and their own Vaudeville-meets-new-wave penchant for storytelling. Introducing new songs with added intensity, pop hooks and multi-layered experimental execution, expect to hear a lot about this band this year. To celebrate the forthcoming single release of ‘Rubber Ball/Control’, attendees of this gig will each receive a free copy of the CD – under the condition it is then passed on to at least one other person. Doors are at 8pm, door tax is a bargain £4 and support comes from Soccor ’96 (“progressive sci-fi soundtrack meets Buddy Rich”) and hard to pigeon-hole Nimmo And The Gauntletts.
