23 year old English singer songwriter Benjamin Francis Leftwich will be passing through the (occasionally) sunny shores of Brighton. For one night only, Leftwich will supply a night filled of acoustic enchantments as part of a hefty worldwide tour.
With the likes of Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes and Laura Marling becoming the leading from the front, standing out from the crowd is a challenge. But with the distinctive whispering vocals, delicate violins and softly plucked guitar, Leftwich has managed to pull it off. Playing music since the innocent age of ten, he has been compared to the likes of Joseph Arthur and Jose Gonzalez. But what makes Leftwich’s sound so interesting, is that his main influences have derived from years of listening to Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams and the Arcade Fire.
Following the release of his latest album ‘Last Smoke Before The Snowstorm’ in July 2011, and playing alongside Lana Del Ray at the 2012 I-Tunes Festival, expect to see this youngster continue to make his stamp.
