Banksy artwork goes under the hammer

When is a wall not a wall? When it’s a highly sought after artwork, of course.
Yes, news just in from the high-rolling world of transatlantic arts auctioneering informs us that Banksy’s ever popular paean to ‘hands on’ policing, the world famous Kissing Coppers, has sold in the U.S. for a none-too-modest $575, 000 (or £345, 000, if exchange rates are your thing).
The piece, originally daubed on the side of Brighton’s very own Prince Albert pub way back in the mists of 2004, is just one of many works by the notoriously camera-shy Bristolian to have found its way to the auction house in recent years, proving the old adage, that the whole world is a but canvas, still rings very true today.
