Imagine a spoonful of LCD Soundsystem a splash of the Strokes and a big melodious dollop of guitar-fuelled energy – produced by boys with influences ranging from Talking Heads and William Blake to Frank O’Hara and M.I.A.

There you have Hockey, a band from Portland, Oregon whose first 7” single Too Fake was recently picked out as the track of the week by Radio 1, 6Music and XFM, as well as gaining support across many of the ILR networks.
They’ve just confirmed a string of dates supporting Friendly Fires, plus four headline dates at the end of that tour.
