We’re so lucky in Brighton that we share a hometown with some awesome labels; one of which is Brighton funksters Jalapeno Records! The next instalment of a run of special events in association with funk ‘n’ soulsters Soul Casserole, July’s The Jalapeno Bop follows a sold out first event -and turning up the heat even more with a corker of a line-up, this edition tickets are sure to fly out just as fast!
Topping the bill, see psychedelic Soul band, San Francisco’s Monophonics as they make a special trip from the US especially for this show – no doubt set to add even more fans to the huge cult following they’ve garnered with their memorable live shows around Europe.
Next up, last month’s star interview in New Music, bluesy talent Izo FitzRoy will take over the room as she showcases new material from her upcoming second album – if you weren’t a fan before you arrive this night, you will be when you leave!
And finally, Bristol’s Boca 45 will close the night with a soundtrack that’s about as funky as it gets.
