An exhibition by renowned Brighton based Still Life artist. Inspired by finding light within darkness, Chris fuses the age old genre of Still Life with a modern-day approach. The result is a selection of emotive and powerful pieces, presented in a style that has become recognizable as being his own. This brand new body of work progresses from his outstanding ‘Festoon’ series. Finding inspiration in the blank canvas, this show features paintings on raw linen, in Chris’ words: “the blank canvas is inspiring every time I’m faced with it – it fills me with both excitement and horror in equal measures every time… but when you conquer it, magic happens”.
