Following some fantastic ‘Introducing…’ features online and his recent live contributions to BBC’s Wales Music Day, Penarth singer/songwriter Pete Lawrie is out on tour with Turin Brakes this month before releasing his debut EP How Could I Complain on April 5. With a big old raspy growl of a voice that belies his youth there have already been comparisons to the likes of Tom Waits, Ray Lamontagne and – on the quieter moments – a certain Nick Drake. The last date of the tour comes in the form of Brighton’s Concorde 2, definitely this is not a show to be missed!
