Having released more than 40 records over 20+ years, many DIY, in home made packaging, mailed out to subscribers, his LP “Introducing Karl Blau” showcases Nashville country hits from the 60’s & 70’s and features contributions from Jim James (My Morning Jacket), Laura Veirs, Jon Hyde, Eli Moore (Lake), Steve Moore (Earth, SunnO)))) and others.
As a singer, multi-instrumentalist and DIY icon, Blau is credited for helping to establish the indie-music scene in hometown Anacortes, Washington, and now he brings themes of darkness and hope to the stage in Brighton.
Support from Brighton singer-songwriter Bella Spinks, who played her first gig at Concorde 2 aged 12, and 12 years later has been compared to Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush, Carole King and Regina Spektor.
Also playing, The Boy Who kicked Pigs – aka Brighton artist and former member of well known electro-rockers Kovak, Karl Bray – with haunting lyrics and stunning melodies and harmony.
