Widdicombe is without any doubt one of the best known and most well-respected comedians in the UK, whether it’s his work on the tele or on the live stage, he’s known and loved across the country for his dry wit.
ThisĀ show’s not stand-up it’s a book show, however wherever he is you can expect the same captivating humour, including this night when heĀ celebrates the release of his first memoir “Watching Neighbours Twice a Dayā¦ How ā90s TV (Almost) Prepared Me For Life.”.Ā
You’ll hear him revisit his rural upbringing, one he only realised was so unusual when he eventually left home and started telling people about it, including a school year that consisted of only four people, and living in a family home where they didnāt just not lock the front door, they didnāt even have a key to it! There’ll also be a bit of a Q&A and the chance to get your book signed!! You can buy one on the night if you’ve not got it yet. How exciting is that?!
The event takes place Sept 25th at The Old Market.
