Releasing on uber-cool imprint Sub Pop, the American musician and singer-songwriter Greta Kline is the daughter of actor Kevin Kline and former actress Phoebe Cates – and produces music influenced by New York City’s anti-folk scene of the noughties, as well as Frank O’Hara’s poetry.
Performing at one time as Ingrid Superstar, today she’s on tour with a full band, promoting their brand new full length “Close it Quietly”, their fourth studio album, recorded at Brooklyn’s Figure 8 Studio.
Presented by Neat Neat Neat, let’s show this talent from across the pond a good ol’ Brighton welcome as she shows off her latest work from an album about continually reframing the ‘known’ as something new – hosted, appropriately, at a venue that’s also just become something new, as the former ‘Haunt’ starts out a brand new life as ‘Chalk’.
See you down the front!
