Imagine if you will, a petri dish crammed with the DNA of Talking Heads, Hot Chip, Field Music and Everything Everything. Now imagine some fame-crazed scientist jolting it to life with a bolt of lightning. The resulting creature would look something like Manchester-based electro art pop troupe Dutch Uncles.
The band appear at the Haunt, Brighton tomorrow night, and quite frankly, we’re as excited as kids on the last day of term.
We caught the band during their last visit to our sunny seaside town at the Great Escape Festival. And we must say, they were just about our favourite act of the whole weekend. No messing!
Their whip-smart blend of uber-pop melodies and progressive math-rock make them just about one of the most exciting acts on the UK scene right now. Don’t believe us?
Check out the video for “In N Out” below and tell us you’re not blown away.
