Demob Happy have been attracting quite a lot of attention around Brighton recently. This could be down to an oversubscribed performance at a student house party causing the floor to collapse, or maybe down to playing out of the back of a van at this years Great Escape Festival, but hopefully it’s because of their effortlessly cool, guitar-driven blues rock. Imagine an early Kings of Leon with a bit more bite and urgency, but keep the haircuts. This year has seen the four-piece release two outstanding singles with accompanying music videos, “Wash It Down” and “Sugarlump”. If these two tracks are a nod towards the new material currently being recorded then that is definitely something to get excited about.
A headline performance at Late Night Lingerie, one of Brighton’s best and only late night gig events, is the perfect environment for the Demob Happy experience. If you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing them before, then this is your chance to get involved in such an intimate setting whilst you still can. Completing the epic line up is support from garage two-piece Skirts, as well as Kill Moon, Strange Cases and Last Heir.
