The follow-up to 2014’s atmospheric debut “Zaba” sees the Oxford quartet set sail on decidedly busier waters.
Opening with the uptempo surrealism “Life Itself”, it’s clear the band have wholeheartedly embraced the new direction, which picks up brilliantly where their debut left off.
Ultimately, this is the pure creativity of a band truly hitting their stride. Expect world beats, D’Angelo-esque r’n’b (“Season 2, Episode 3”) field recordings and even pseudo-gangsta hip hop (“Pork Soda”).
