Our favourite avant-garde neo-digi-classical artist releases her ninth studio album and the follow-up to 2011s cooly-received “Biophilia”. So what’s the verdict? Well, anyone remotely familiar with her work will be aware that she’s a master of combining sound and visuals. Unsurprisingly then, you can’t help but get the impression this sonic feast was designed to be enjoyed with accompanying treats for the eyes. Perhaps we’ve been spoiled by her prolific yet uncompromising output, but you can’t help but yearn for the album to stop flapping and soar already.
6/10, out now, Jimmy Volts
