Bastille. VS. “Other People’s Heartache. PT. III”
Now as someone who generally shuns most mainstream acts that come through (or are even remotely associated with) Radio One, it’s safe to say, Bastille do not appeal. But for the sake of variety, let’s humour them. This collaborative effort from the London popsters sees them rubbing shoulders with the likes of HAIM, MNEK, GRADES, FUGZ and a bunch of other ridiculously-named artists. The general consensus? A relatively inoffensive collection of electronic pop-rock that has you wondering whether these collaborations came about through a genuine meeting of creating minds on the road or whether it’s purely an example of the PR game in full swing. No bangers here.
