The debut LP from this southend-based garage pop quartet hits hard enough to make you sit up and take wide-eyed notice, yet butters you up with the kind of unabashed hooks and indie pop irony that brings to mind great bands of yesteryear such as Yourcodenameis:milo and Maximo Park.
Highlights include the brilliant (yet painfully brief) “The Death of Television” and the anthemic “Born To Not Belong”.
