The first offering from the Boston duo in over three years is a subtly glorious mix of displaced beats, dazzling textures and the kind of ‘found sounds’ and field recordings that give a sense of comforting familiarity whilst lulling you into a trance-like state of listening joy.
The silky omnichord and otherworldly vocal samples of “Hummingbird” give a sense of being abducted by aliens and subjected to waves of induced euphoria as some kind of weird sexual experiment (in a good way of course).
