Whenever a new Scottish rock band looks to be going places, it’s often too easy to make comparisons with fellow natives Idlewild and Biffy Clyro. When you listen more closely, these comparisons usually hinge more on vowel pronunciation than on music. The same can be said of Twin Atlantic, whose latest release “Free” has the requisite slick production, concise arrangements and melodic focus to put the Glaswegian four-piece more in league with the likes of Circa Survive, Finch and Billy Talent.
