The Recital is literary club for writers and readers, hosted by Georgina Langford and Evie Barker.

We host bi-monthly events; our first is a literary social featuring a guided discussion of our recommended reading, a book swap (bring one, take one home), live poetry and hosted Q&A with Ella Sadie Guthrie (author of Scorpio Szn and Poems for Pete Davidson) and a harp performance by Eva Lunny. 

Recommended (but not compulsory) reading for the first Recital is:

Mrs. S by K.Patrick

Our Wives Under The Sea by Julia Armfield

Perfume and Pain by Anna Dorn.

Expect beautiful vibes, an exceptional playlist and an opportunity to meet others in the local literary community. The Recital is an LBGTQI+ inclusive event.
