Rebel Without a Coat is a multi-talented and super rapper and orgininal musician making mostly alternative/conscious hip hop which ranges from downbeat, dark, pensieve spiritual mindbabbles to heavy beats and rhymes using hip hop’s traditional brazen confidence mixed with a good dose of dry-witted self-deprecation. This draws upon influences such as Wax, Watsky, Scroobius Pip, Mac Miller, Kendrick Lamar etc. For those who prefer the singer-songwriter vibe she also does some intense emotional acoustic/alternative/folksy pop taking inspiration from the likes of Radiohead, John Frusciante, Jeff Buckley, Damien Rice etc As well as her, come and see performances for Brighton’s rich musical community in a cosy candle lite cabaret-style bar with a rich history of music . We accept any type of performance from Poems to magic to comedy and music. Free entry for all and a drink for those performing for the first time at the Richmond. Jam together when you want for more fun on stage. please guitars and other instruments although there is a full backline, house bass, drums, PA and lights resident sound tech .
