See what's on & more about the venue at the above location page / link.Whether you are a keen writer or a total newbie, if you love writing, the great outdoors and the natural world and want to delve into your creativity by combining the two whilst spending time in the beautiful grounds of Varndean College with like-minded people, then this is the course for you. T
his creative writing course aims to introduce participants to the craft of nature writing and will include investigations into nature writing forms such as fiction, creative nonfiction, travel writing and poetry. You will gain confidence in your writing by experimenting with creative techniques in a small, supportive group environment.
In each session, you will spend time looking at examples of nature writing and then move outside to use inspiration from the natural world and the changing seasons to create your own body of work. There will be time at the end of each session to share your work and gain verbal feedback if you would like it.

- Writing with nature in mind People, place and landscape
- Local Folklore and Mythology
- Creative conservation
- Nature and memory
- The language of nature: writing by the seasons
Entry requirements: No experience necessary but an interest in creative writing and the natural world along with a willingness to write in outdoor spaces is an advantage.
