Optimistic and harmonious, each carefully selected element in her collages is chosen to celebrate the complexity of people and to make sense of the world that we live in.
If you’ve always fancied turning your hand to collage, this art workshop will be your chance to get a sneak peek into Maria’s mind, and to learn all of her tricks for creating impactful, balanced and beautiful collages.
For £25 you will get a copy of the book, and two hours of insights into collage. In addition to being able to cut items from your own books, Rivans will bring along elements for you to use, and will provide inspiration for your pieces.
There are backgrounds included in the book, but should you have something you’d like to build your collage around – by all means, bring it along so you can make the collage you’ve been dreaming about.
On the night, Rivans will introduce you to collage styles, and offer invaluable tips on techniques and composition. To add to the Christmas workshop atmosphere, we’ll have festive tunes, mince pies and mulled wine for you to enjoy while you create.
This workshop is taking place on Thursday 8th December between 7-9pm.
