Ciao Lucifer have announced their debut album, “Sunset Riders”, due for release on September 25th.
The indie-pop duo say the record was recorded in just three days and largely captured live in first takes, a working method intended to preserve more ‘immediate’ performances, rather than polish every detail. Much of the album was built around a simple rule: stop overthinking and capture the feeling.
On paper the band consists of two people, but they use a modified guitar setup that covers both guitar and bass parts, enabling them to reproduce the weight of a full band with a pared-back lineup. That approach is central to “Sunset Riders”, which pairs hook-heavy songwriting with layered, sunlit arrangements.
“Get Me In / Get Me Out” dropped on August 27th as the final single ahead of the album’s release. The track is presented as the last preview of the record and is likely to give a clearer sense of how the duo translate live energy into recorded form.
The pair have spent years refining their material on the road across Europe; the album aims to bottle that live experience rather than replace it.
