DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the world of Manga\n\nExplore Japanese manga drawing
  with professional manga artist Ai Takita\, known as INKO and discover the
  connection between modern Japanese Manga and traditional Japanese woodcut
  prints. Following a brief history of manga and a live drawing demonstrati
 on\, there will be an opportunity to create exciting original manga charac
 ters of your own.\nAll materials for the session will be provided\, althou
 gh participants are welcome to bring along any pencils\, pens or sketchboo
 ks that they feel comfortable drawing with.\n\nThe Workshop Leader\nInko A
 i Takita was born in Kyoto\, Japan and her passion for manga comics starte
 d as a child. After finishing a Masters degree at Kyoto University of Art 
 &amp\; Design\, she moved to London to study at Central Saint Martin’s C
 ollege of Art &amp\; Design and has been working as a manga artist/ illust
 rator ever since. She has published several manga books including ‘Tale 
 of Genji manga edition’ (Tuttle)\, ‘Manga Yokai Stories: Ghostly Tales
  from Japan’ (Tuttle) and the comic ‘Portrait of Violence’\, which w
 on a bronze medal at the Independent Publisher Book Awards in 2018. Her wo
 rk has been included in numerous exhibitions and publications and she regu
 larly runs workshops and delivers talks in schools\, galleries and museums
 . Collaborative projects include the ‘Underground Heroes’ project with
  David Blandy in which 19 manga posters were created and displayed in the
