 Dance Party  celebrating the Funky 90’s "Acid Jazz" musical movement.Fol
 lowing on from our epic Spirit of Acid Jazz club nights in Brighton we’r
 e back at the Waterbear Venue on Saturday November 22nd for an all day Par
 ty not to be missed! Once again\, firmly rooted in the Freedom Principle\,
  we’ll be taking a musical journey back to the heady days of the early 9
 0’’s.Expect an uplifting all vinyl mix of Funk\, Soul and Hip Hop with
  Jazz and Disco on a lush Funktion One sound system.Originating in UK club
 land in the late 80’s and combining elements of the Rare Groove and Jazz
  Dance scenes the Acid Jazz movementblended Jazz chops with Funk grooves\,
  Hip Hop Rhythms\, and Soul swagger sound tracking clubs all over the glob
 e.A myriad of live acts emerged including Jamiroquai \, The Brand New Heav
 ies\, Galliano\, James Taylor Quartet\, Incognito\, The Digable Planets\, 
 Incognito\, Young Disciples and many more.Brighton was at the forefront of
  the Acid Jazz scene at the time with Russ Dewbury’s "Jazz Bop" live eve
 nt showcasing many of these artists to packed out crowds 2000 strong! His 
 Brighton Jazz Rooms club nights rocked the sound at the weekends.Come and 
 join us on Saturday November 22nd as Russ reunites with guest DJ Simon Ric
 hmond (Palm Skin Productions - Mo Wax/Tru Thoughts Records) who returns af
 ter a legendary set last time out! Palm Skin Productions were an integral 
 part of the early 90’s music scene releasing many cuts for James Lavelle
 ’s legendary Mo Wax Records. Simon continues to take the Palm Skin sound
  forward recently signing to Brighton’s very own Tru Thoughts Records. W
